BİM Birleşik Mağazalar A.Ş., the company having the highest market share in organized retail sector in Turkey, started its operations with 21 stores in 1995. BİM’s core principle is to provide the consumers with the basic food items and consumer goods combining high quality and best affordable prices. The pioneer of the hard-discount model in Turkey, BİM’s product portfolio includes around 850 items and also aims to offer large range of private label products to its customers.
BİM continued to pursue the policy of opening new stores and increase its turnover steadily also in 2021. As of the end of 2021, BİM has 9,451 stores (9,611 stores including FILE stores) in Turkey by opening 1,081 (+37 FİLE) new stores in 2021 in addition to two new regional offices which represents a growth rate of 12 percent in terms of number of stores. BİM continues its development and growth with its efficient cost management policy without compromising its quality and customer satisfaction approach.
BİM operates not only in Turkey but also abroad including in Morocco and Egypt. By opening 43 new stores in Morocco in 2021, it reached a total of 578 stores in that country while in Egypt, its second international operation, it has 300 stores at the end of 2021. As of the end of 2021, BİM has 10,489 stores in Turkey as well as Morocco and Egypt.
BİM stands out not only in terms of turnover, but also in terms of consolidated number of 70,197 employees including 3,723 office personnel, 6,437 warehouse personnel and 60,037 store personnel as of end of 2021.
